Mater Dei retains top spot in Super 25 boys hoops poll

Analysis: Three new teams joined the rankings, led by No. 14 South Atlanta (6-0). Lincoln, Brooklyn, N.Y. (3-1) suffered the biggest drop in the rankings, falling from No. 2 to No. 16.

1. Mater Dei, Santa Ana, Calif. (5-0)
Previous: 1. Result: Travis Wear had 24 points and 11 rebounds in a 92-66 defeat of Cajon (San Bernardino). Defeated Canyon (Anaheim) 89-65. Next: Friday vs. Fayette County (Fayetteville, Ga.).

2. Findlay College Prep, Henderson, Nev. (8-0)
Previous: 3. Result: Victor Rudd had 22 points, nine rebounds, and seven steals in a 93-33 defeat of Green Valley (Henderson). Defeated Desert Pines (Las Vegas) 114-81. Next: Tuesday vs. Rise Academy (Philadelphia).
