St. Benedict's won their first game at the Marshall County Hoop Fest Friday night in Kentucky. The Grey Bees overcame Jackson High School from Provine Mississippi 72 -56.
6-foot-8 Jr. Tristan Thompson led the balanced attack with 18. 6-foot So. Myck Kabongo was also in double figures with 11. 6-foot-4 Pittsburgh bound Sr. Lamar Patterson and 6-foot-5 Jr. Mike Poole divided 20 more. St. Benedict's will play Whitney Young from Illinois on Saturday evening.
