Real Scout Top 100 Middle School Camp August 29th-31st (Day 1)

Pictured: Daniel Dingle 6'5 St. Raymond's H.S.

The Bronx's Daniel Dingle was one of the Standout players of Real Scout Top 100 Middle School Camp Day One.

Dingle was a terror driving to the basket at will against all defenders. Dingle grabbed more scored and rebounded more than any player in camp. Daniel's Long Island Lightning 14under teammates Nkereuwem Okoro & Myron Hickman were also at their best today.

This duo showed why they'll be major players at the Next Level. Okoro 6'4 can rebounded and started the break better than any forward today. He showed a real outside game, which consisted of a couple of baseline jumpers to keep the defenders honest, his no look passes were accurate and on point today.
Hickman 5'10 on the other hand didn't play a Batman Role, he was more like a runaway train. Scoring from all angles, Hickman didn't hesitate outside the 3pt arc or inside the paint.
Some of the other players who Impressed me today Jason Boswell (2013), George Davis (2012), Jalen Evans (2012), Jamel Torrence (2012), Theo Brown (2012), Rudy Collins (2012), T.J. Gibbs (2015), Trey Dickerson (2012), Lenny Kadisha (2015), and Boubacar Diallo (2013), Shavar Newkirk (2014), and Alex Acosta (2012).
In the Camp Poll:
85% List Lebron James as their Favorite Player
72% Picked UNC as their Favorite College
96% Chose Math as their Favorite Subject

Tobias Harris making moves

I watched Tobias Harris 6'7 put on a offensive show this weekend at the Tyshawn Bierria Memorial in Queens.

Playing for Unique All-Stars which featured Reynaldo Walters (2010), Marcus Damas (2009), Josh Malone (2009), and Tyler Harris (2011).

I spoke to Harris on Tuesday, he was home from his unofficial to Maryland University (ACC).

When asked how did the visit go, Harris replied "I finished my visit to Maryland. I like it a lot all the coaches where cool. Its a place where I can come in right away and play. So they're definitely gonna be real high on my list."

Tobias currently holds offers from 23 Division I Schools, Arizona, Baylor. Uconn. Florida State. Indiana, Louisville, Marquette, Maryland, Miami, Rutgers, St.Johns, Syracuse, Hofstra Texas. Virginia, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Delaware, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence, and USC.

Besides this monster list of schools. Harris is also trying to decide if he should stay at Half Hallow Hills West or head to Long Island Lutheran. That decision will come in the next week. Tobias Harris will not be attending Five Star Basketball Camp.

Diary of Jason Boswell

Wassup basketball world this is Jason Boswell from the long island lightning back to fill you guys in on how my week went.

My week was kind of boring. The most exciting thing of my week was that I went to the elite 24 game to watch my man Durand Scott play. He played well but, I was also impressed by Dominic Cheeks game and John Wall.

I also had a championship game in 16u watson classic against team posse...that was a easy win.

Sunday evening I played at Young World. Rice High School Coach Mo Hicks tournament. I played along side Nkereuwem Okoro and Daniel Dingle two stars on the class of 2012. All three of us played well and, we pulled out the game over a tough scrappy well shooting panthers team.

I will be attending Real Scout Top 100 camp labor day weekend and, playing against all the 7th grader in my class. I plan on doing good so be prepared for a show.

I told yall my week was kind of boring so ill try to come back next week with some good news..

NY Patriots Win Young World Tri-State 14under Chips

Congratulations to coaches Elliot Rosado, Gee Smith and the NY Patriots 14U squad on winning two prestigious championships this summer walking away with the Tri-State classic summer championship defeating Team Artest and in the semi-finals the NY Patriots beat a very good CASW.

O'shea Bell walked away with the MVP award scoring 29 pts in the chip coming through with clutch baskets down the stretch.

This young man has an old school game and a knack for scoring as well a tremendous athlete. Nkereuwem Okoro, Daniel Dingle, Shamgod Wells, Trey Williams and Jamel Torrence also contributed to the win.

Team Artest was led by Rashad Andrews and Charles Lawrence as the game was close until the final minute of the game.

The NY Patriots also captured the Young World championship defeating the NY Panthers. On the way to the championship game the NY Patriots had a rematch versus Team Artest and once again it was an epic match up in which the Patriots won by 3 points.

In the championship game it was a back and forth struggle for the lead as the Panther guards pressured the Patriots early in the first quarter and the Panther big man from Holy Cross HS banged inside and shot the lights outs behind the try line.

In the second quarter the Patriots took the lead as the Panther big man was forced to sit down as Daniel Dingle, Nkereuwem Okoro and Davon "Poppa" Ragin attacked the offensive glass. The Patriots took a one point lead to end the first half.

The second ran pretty much the same as the Patriots ran away with game with Jason "J-Smoove" Boswell, Daniel Dingle and Nkereuwem Okoro matching every three point shot made by the Panthers.

The guard play and defensive effort by Jamel "Poquito" Torrence, Jovon Parks, Shamgod "Baby Sham" Wells, and Trey Williams halted any offensive the Panthers would try and make. The Panther 14U squad is mixed with 13 and 14 year olds and will definitely be a threat on the 14U summer league circuit next year.

The NY Patriots also finished second in the Hoops in the Sun at Orchard Beach 14U tournament while losing in the semifinals of the Holocumbe Rucker Tournament and Nike Swoosh tournament.

The young men worked very hard this summer and competed at high level in every game. I would like to acknowledge the young men for a great summer. Jovon Parks, Jemal Smith, Jaquan Brown, Shamgod Wells, Trey Williams, Davon "Poppa" Ragin, O'shea Bell, Eric Gaye, Jamel Torrence, Nkereuwem Okoro, Daniel Dingle, and Jason Boswell.
