Jeff Coney Classic Results (NJ)

There were nine games at the Jeff Coney Classic at Rancocas Valley High School spread out over two gyms. NJ Hoops is staying in the main gym for five games. Many of the top teams in south jersey are competing.


In the first contest Living Faith ran past Holy Cross 75-54. 6-foot-8 Sr. David Jones (Pictured) led the winners with 14 points and 15 rebounds. 5-foot-11 Jr. Chris Keating tallied 14 for Holy Cross.

In the second game, which was close throughout, Timber Creek trimmed Trenton 61-60. 6-foot-4 Sr. Colin Johnson finished with 22 points to pace Timber Creek. 5-foot-9 Sr.

Lorenzo Santos led Trenton with 19 points, 7 in the opening quarter.

In the middle game, south jersey's top team Trenton Catholic had little trouble, getting past Williamstown 67-43. 5-foot-9 Jr. Dondre Whitmore and 6-foot-4 Sr. Daquan Basnight divided 29 points for the balanced Iron Mikes attack. 5-foot-10 Sr. Justin Chaney led Williamstown with 9.

In the fourth contest Cherokee trimmed Pemberton 52-46. 6-foot-2 Sr. Nelson Torres scored 10 of his team high 14 points in the final quarter. He was 8-11 from the foul line in the game. 6-foot Sr. Ranson Eaves scored 22 points with 3 treys to pace Pemberton.

In the finale, the host team Rancocas Valley took care of Lenape 68-63. 6-foot-6 American bound Sr. Mike Bersch buried 5 treys and scored 30 points for the Red Devils. 6-foot Sr. Pete Dinich was high for Lenape with 18.
