Lincoln 101, Thurgood Marshall Academy 72: Lance Stephenson had a triple-double of 39 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and James Padgett followed with 21 points and 13 rebounds for No. 1 Lincoln (18-10), which faces No. 9 Transit Tech in the PSAL Class AA quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at St. John’s University at 5 p.m.
Boys & Girls 81, Gompers 60: Anton Dickerson scored 22 points, Tyler Young had 16 points and 17 rebounds and Lamount Samuel Jr. added 14 points and 10 assists for the No. 4 Kangaroos (20-8). The High, who will face No. 12 Thomas Edison in the PSAL Class AA quarterfinal Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., outscored the Panthers, 18-5, in the third quarter.
PSAL CLASS A SECOND ROUND
Banneker 54, Hunter College HS 46: The fifth-seeded Warriors (14-2), after falling behind 17-7 after one quarter, held No. 12 Hunter to single digits in the last two quarters and overtime. Len Chenfeld led the Hawks (17-3) with 18 points and Kyle Waney had nine points and 12 rebounds. Banneker faces the No. 4 George Westinghouse/No. 13 Brad & Roses winner on Sunday at Lehman College.
PSAL CLASS B SECOND ROUND
HS for Construction 63, School of the Future 60: John Galimi scored 24 points, Kyle McQueen added 19 and 16 rebounds, seven of them offensive, and Vladimir Perdomo had 10 for No. 8 HS for Construction, who improved to 18-4. The Red Hawks will meet the No. 1 FDA III/No. 17 Bushwick winner March 10 at City College.
Townsend Harris 52, Foundations Academy 31: No. 3 Townsend Harris (20-0) cruised to a 21-point victory and will face the No. 6 Queens HS of Teaching/No. 11 Banana Kelly winner March 11 at City College.
Brooklyn College Academy 91, Health Professions 63: Onyema Utti scored 20 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, Tarik Phillip and Jared Mansano each followed with 16 and Keyon Aigle had 15, 14 rebounds and 11 assists for No. 26 Brooklyn College Academy. The Bobcats (12-6) meet the winner of No. 2 J.K.O/No. 15 Fannie Lou Hamer March 11 at City College.
