After work, I spent my second half of the day working out a couple of kids in the park. Actually one kid, because the other kid was claiming he had stomach cramps. So I told him to go home. I ran into PG Nick Padgett 2011 and a kid named Kieyvn, can't remember his last name. But, Padgett will have some big games this year in the psal for Forest Hills HS.
Kieyvn is headed to C.J.E.O.T.O. Prep in NJ as a 5th yr senior. David "Pepe" Joseph, Sonny Kadisha, and Davante Brown (Cousin of Uconn Grad Taliek) were also there playing ball, not working out with me. My man Bippon was going hard, i gave him a break, told him he was done early. The kid kept going, bad back and all 400pushups, 800 squats, 400 dips..and more, straight trooper.
Oh yeah shouts to Damien, and some of those other scrubs who were sweating on the court, when ya guys can make some layups holla at me. Speaking of scrubs, Lenny Kadisha is my height headed to the 7th grade.
Anyway, later on that night. I jetted out to Nike Swoosh at Variety Boys & Girls Club in Astoria. I watched two games, a 16under game and a 14under. The 14under was a blowout, my man Rob Diaz and his NYC Finest crew clapped some poor souls. Boubacar Diallo was doing him! Class of 2013, guess what high school he's headed to?
The second game was NYC Finest 16s against NYABC.
NYC Finest featured Javon Thomas, while NYABC was hooping with (Maurice Harkless, TJ Curry, Jose Rodriguez, Aaron Williams, Chris Ortiz, and others). On paper its a blowout, but like they always say "That's why we play the games."
NYABC was down 5-8pts most of the game and went on a big 4th quarter run to win by about 7 pts. I'm not into summaries but Harkless and Curry played great. Ortiz had a big put back in the fourth.
Other News
Central Jersey Each-One-Teach One (C.J.E.O.T.O.) has their own prep school. Besides Kieyvn, other New Yorkers- Rasheem King, Jamel Fuentes, and Anali Okloji will be there this season.
There are 3 major transfers that have went down. A Matter of fact 4 major transfers! I know their might be 5, but its not official yet. Put it this way, when you guys read it on other sites, just say..."Nate told us so weeks ago."
I'm soooo surprised at some of the transfers, but nobody stays 4 years in NYC anyway, so why be shocked?
