Elite Camps popped up all over the nation this past weekend. With so many to choose from I attended "Syracuse Elite Camp."
The drive to Syracuse was a bit longer than expected. But, I had to make a stop along the way to talk to one of upstates top prospects in 2011 named T'Andre Richardson. He attends Proctor Utica High School. The same school that produced former All-American Joshua Wright (Syracuse U).
After arriving at "the cuse" and getting some saturday night sleep. I woke up on sunday at 8:30am, where breakfast was served at the Carrier Dome. Introduction to the staff, followed by almost 3 hrs of great individual instruction.
Out of the 80 or so players in attendance, there were some big names from our area. 6'8 SF Angel Nunez (Winchendon Prep)2011, 6'7 SF Maurice Harkless (Forest Hills) 2011, 6'7 PG Kyle Anderson (Patterson Catholic) 2011, 5'8 PG Myles Mack (Patterson Catholic) 2011, 6'4 SG Rudy Collins (Forest Hills) 2012, 6'0 SG George Davis (Molloy) 2012, 6'0 PG Javon Thomas (Our Savior New America) 2012, 5'11 PG Mark Parisi (Molloy) 2012, and 5'10 PG Jason Nunez (Middle School) 2013.
Former Syracuse players John Wallace, Donte Greene, G-Mac, Johnny Flynn, Demetries Nicholas, and current players Brandon Trische, James Southerland, Scoop Jardine and 2010 commit CJ Fair plus others were all on hand.
The coaches at Syracuse were all in attendance and treated all the campers like family. Move of the day was easily Javon Thomas dunk at the end of the all-star game. That still has me shaking my head, you had to be there to believe it.lol
Getting ready for college, headed to another Big East School tuesday.
